Pile on the Layers with Old Navy Tees!

You might wonder why I have a Shrek clip in my blog post about Old Navy tees (Old Navy and Shrek are in no way related). Well, I guess I have a bit  in common with Shrek ~ and onions for that matter.  Layers! We both have layers.  Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall, I am either layering with or wearing an Old Navy tee or tank.

Not everyone might like onions, but I can almost guarantee you would like the soft fabric and great fit of Old Navy Best Tees & Tanks! I always love drawing inspiration from the Old Navy Modelquins. There are so many beautiful patterns and colors screaming Spring!! Even if it is cold, and might even be snowing outside the store, at least inside there is hope of sunshine and warmer weather right around the corner! 

My friends and I had so much fun trying on different tees and tanks at Old Navy and finding the perfect colors and styles for each of us. 

There were so many different styles and colors to choose from!

My sisters Mindy & Melissa shared the coupon and each chose one tee. Mindy chose the orange Rib-Knit Henley tee - she also purchased several of the Rib-Knit tanks for layering.

And Melissa chose the Vintage Green V-Neck Perfect tee. Here is what she says about the Vintage Green tee:

I chose the Women’s Perfect Rib-Knit Tank in “Orange You Cute” paired with the light blue Women’s Perfect Rib-Knit Henley. I especially like how super soft they are. And I love the fit because both the tee and tank are not too tight or loose and they are long enough especially with my life of bending over, squatting down and picking up my 2 and 3 year old boys. I love that I don’t have to worry about showing too much skin and always being comfortable and modest!

I haven’t had any problems with my Rib-Knit Henley or any of my Rib-Knit tanks that I just got or that I have had in my closet for a few seasons now. I wear them often and they remain as soft as the day I bought them. I also had fun trying on a few other styles of tanks and tees. Here is one I snapped of the extra long, and super soft Jersey Stretch Tank. Yes, I know I'm a bit cheesy. :-)

After I got back home, I had fun building outfits around my FREE tee and tank!! They are going to be great for layering or as the standout piece in a variety of outfits and for many different occasions depending on the accessories or pieces I pair with them!

Here are some outfits I built from my closet with recently purchased items from OldNavy along with other Old Navy items that have been in my closet for years! As you can see, my favorite blue flip flops have been well loved. *(Note: the only item in photos below that is not from Old Navy is the aqua blue heels.)

Goals, or Not to Goals, That is the Question?!

I was recently asked to write about my New Years resolutions. Honestly when midnight hit on New Year's morning, I was asleep in bed. And the next day, I didn't really want to proclaim "These are my resolutions!" But I do like the idea of setting Goals for myself. 

So these are my 2012 Goals!

Do I have any New Year’s resolutions? What are they?

I have several goalsI have made for myself for 2012. 

*Get more organized and stay that way! Clear out the clutter and keep what we need. Sell or donate what we don't!

*Make a menu each week and limit our eating out.

*Read my Bible & pray more!

*Potty train my almost 3 year old! Enough said there! LOL!

*BLOG MORE!!! :-)

*Start working out and eat healthier so I can feel better physically and have a better self confidence of how I look. And hopefully gain more energy and lose weight in the process!!!

In previous years I have made resolutions and then not stuck with them. I was gung-ho in January & February and then slowly faded after that. I figure if I set a goal but also give a little wiggle room and don't beat myself up if I fall off the track and have to get back on, that will just be part of making positive changes as long as I try to stick with it for the long haul. Hopefully that makes sense! :-)

What is the biggest goal you want to accomplish this year?

Probably my biggest goal for 2012 is to remember to savor the moments with my children.

Wyatt & Levi - Christmas Morning 2011

As my boy's birthday's are approaching next month and they will be turning 2 & 3, it has just really hit me that my little babies are getting bigger and aren't so much "baby" anymore! I know they are still small, but I just can't believe how fast time is going by. At times life is so crazy, but I want to remember to take step back mentally and just soak up these precious moments when they are still small and at home with me! I love being a mom and pouring my love into my children. And I want to teach them more about God who loves them too!! I think that is the greatest thing we can do!
