Better Late Than Not at All :)

We took the boys to the Asotin County Water Park today. It was the first time me or the boys have ever been. Now I've been feeling a little sorry for myself as school is starting up again and the summer has drawn to a close. And I don't have any kids in school yet so the school year doesn't even affect me all that much. But it's just that end of summer feeling and thinking back over the past few months and thinking we didn't really do or go anywhere. I mean, I have gotten some amazing steals on Craigslist and get so excited for my two hours of me time out hitting yard sales (that I have mapped out the night before) in the early morning hours of each Saturday. I love the excitement of the hunt and the thrill of finding a steal of a deal. I'll have to write about some of the great deals I found this summer. But we didn't take any family vacation and we don't do camping. So today was a huge treat.

I have to say I wouldn't be able to go to the water park by myself with my two busy boys. But going as a family and each of us taking one of the boys was great. It broke 100+ degrees here today so the weather was perfect to spend the afternoon splashing around in the water. I wish I had gotten a few pictures. Levi was so excited!!! Wyatt wasn't too thrilled but he ended up enjoying it for the most part I think. It was pretty funny because he had finally gotten comfortable in the water in the kiddie pool and started to splash around a little bit - and had even made a couple little friends, girls of course, they love him. When all of a sudden, the lifeguard announced Everyone Out of the Pool! There was a log. I even saw they brought out a brown binder called the Log Book (filled with protocol). I didn't let the boys back in even after they announced we could. Ick! I was also relieved it wasn't one of my boys that left the present.

The boys weren't old/big enough to go down the water slides but we were able to go in the lazy river which was funs. We went a couple times and each took a different boy each time. Levi wanted to be able to swim on his own so bad. We'll definitely have to get him into some swimming lessons. He loves the water. Him and his dad spent quite a bit of time in the wave pool as well. Wyatt and I waded out in the middle but he didn't like it too much so we stayed on the edge or watched from the chairs.

This photo was one I took the other night in our backyard. It was fun just splashing in the water. On Facebook, I had this caption: "Spent the evening pool side enjoying the company of two of the cutest guys I know. :) Don't ya love their swim trunks? (Just ignore the dead grass and murky pool water.) :) We had lots of fun splashing and laughing!!"

And here's another one from that same night. I just think Wyatt's face is too cute. :)

I love my boys so much. They are such a blessing and make me laugh and smile each and every day. Truly Gifts from God!
