A Smurftastic Party!!

I was recently selected as a member of Crowdtap to host a Smurftastic Party just in time for the release of the The Smurfs movie! I grew up watching The Smurfs cartoon every Saturday morning so I was pretty excited to be chosen to throw a party! I was sent links to print off fun coloring sheets, online games and movie clips and a few other helpful resources to throw a successful and fun celebration.

I made sure to wear blue and have lots of blue at our party: blue tablecloth, blue plates, blue cups, blue juice, blue suckers, blue Smurf droppings. I also made sure to have apples so the kids could see how high a Smurf is – 3 apples high!

Levi made a Get Well picture for E.J.
I guess he thought the Smurfs should be green. :)

Since my little guests were a little young to understand how to play the online games, and since my niece had just broken her right arm and wasn’t able to join us, we spent some time coloring some Smurf coloring sheets to send to E.J. with Get Well Soon messages. We also had fun on The Smurfs movie facebook page and used the Smurfs Soundboard - “What the Smurf Did They Just Say?” where we got to hear quotes from each smurf. We especially love Clumsy! “I am pretty unforgettable!” and we thought Grouchy was pretty funny! “Alright, who smurfed?” We also had fun singing the Smurf theme song and tried to keep up with all the the la-la-las!

We then celebrated Smurf style for the Festival of the Blue Moon by eating some pizza, “Smurf droppings”, blue juice, and some yummy cookies (oreo truffles and hockey pucks). I think the Smurf droppings were a big hit! LOL!

Then we took pictures wearing our Smurf hats, even our dog Maggie and cats joined in the Smurftastic fun!

The cats scared the Smurf droppings right out of them!

Then we concluded our party by watching The Smurf movie! There were loads of giggles and laughs.
